Title Research: Art of the Title Website

For our first website we researched art of the title which is a website that is dedicated to title sequence design. When creating a title, you want to follow the theme and vibe of the movie. If the movie is animated and in a comic format, you would make the title with the same format or following the same theme. For the title sequence creating a scene that will follow into the sequence is ideal to allow smooth translations in the movie. This sequence should also follow with the current scene. For example, for a mechanical movie the scene and could focus on a clock which it would then go into the mechanical gears of the clock and the sequence would then lead to a title card in a mechanical font or form blending with the sequence. Having good flow with the sequence is ideal because it is your first impression of the movie to the viewer. Another example is for a horror genre. If the movie would have a bloody opening scene, the sequence could have red font appearing from or representing the blood. Having smooth transitions in your title sequence is ideal to prevent choppiness and allow more flow.

Short Film Research: Amber, Thriller Genre

In this movie, the plot is crucial. When a barber in a highway barbershop discovers that his first client of the day isn't who he thought him to be, he finds himself in a potentially fatal position. There is a moment in every frame of the movie. This greatly improved the movie. The acting was superb. In addition, the film's direction was superb. The film has certain scenes that evoke the dynamic sense of character, which is reinforced by the fluid editing. The moment that built tension also contributed to a more enjoyable movie-watching experience. Everything about the movie's production value was excellent. It seemed as though you were virtually living through the situations because of the camera angles.Watching the sequence while he was drowning was quite entertaining. A shot captured from underwater gives a highly lifelike impression to the scene. All in all, the movie was fantastic because of a ton of little things.
