Critical Reflection

 How do your products represent social groups or issues? Our short film delves into the complex and often overlooked issue of trust within social groups. The two detectives at the center of the story represent a typical social group – they are partners who rely on each other to solve crimes and uphold justice. However, as the plot unfolds, it becomes evident that there is a dark undercurrent of deception and betrayal lurking beneath the surface. The revelation that one of the detectives is actually the serial killer not only shatters the trust between the two individuals, but also raises questions about the nature of social groups in general. How well do we truly know the people we work with or spend time with on a daily basis? Are we blinded by our assumptions and biases, preventing us from seeing the truth that may be right in front of us? The film forces viewers to confront these uncomfortable questions and challenges them to reevaluate their own social circles and relationships. It

 We are almost done with our film and project. We each have different roles. Some roles are harder than others. I am making our website. Jason is making our postcard. Zane is editing our film. Elena does not really have a duty right now however. I am creating our website through Wix. It has been going great. I really enjoy working on it. I get to use my creativity to express myself. I am almost done with it fortunately. It has been a lot of work, though. Zane has been working hard as well. He even plans to spend all day on editing some time this week. Jason showed me his work so far. I am really proud of him. The postcard looks exactly as it sounds, suspicious. Overall, we are doing great and will be completely done with our film soon. We are extremely proud of our work.

 We finished filming our film. It did take us a while to figure out a meeting time but we did get to it. This time, filming was easier and much quicker. I was not even an actor in this part of filming so it was especially easy. All we had to do was record a few shots. Again, we met at Zane’s house. I got there first, then Elena, then Jason. We began by getting Jason and Zane in costume. They also got themselves into character. Filming this part was very climactic as it was the second half of the film. As we all know there is almost always a twist towards the end of a great film. We arrived in the afternoon and finished a few hours later. Not bad at all. Although I wish it could have gone by faster we made good time. I even found myself having fun. With our group, after all, it’s hard not to. We filmed the remaining shots. Afterwards, we felt good about our film. We knew we had something great. We all went home and prepared to edit and finish our project and film.

 Today is Wednesday. I cannot wait to film tomorrow. I am so excited. I hope the rest of my group is. Jason told me he can't wait either. Zane said the same. And I can tell Elena can't wait either. It will be very fun. I get to express myself while filming. It is kind of like a release. A release of creativity. Anyways, my mom is out of town this week. I am cat-sitting my cat Nala, even though I'm at my dads house this week. Every day after school I go to my moms house to check on her. I have a routine. I let Nala inside our house. I fill up her water. Refill her food bowl. Pet her for a while. Give her time to rest, eat and drink. Lastly, I let her outside again for the night. She's an outdoor cat, so she sleeps outside. I really cannot wait to film tomorrow so I'll be sure to blog about it!

 Today is Tuesday. We still plan to film on Thursday. We still plan to meet at Galleria mall. We will meet after school. I drive myself. Jason and Zane also have cars. However, Elena does not. One of us will probably have to drive her. I hear that Zane's practice went well. I hope it did. I'm glad he did not have to skip. Especially because we can film on Thursday instead. Being at a practice on Monday is more important than being at a Friday practice. That is my opinion of course. I just think Monday practice's are more important. Coming off the weekend, players need a tough practice. We don't have much more to film on Thursday. We filmed a lot on Sunday. We just have to wrap some shots up. I'm very excited to film again and I will continue to rest and prepare.

 Today is Monday, the 26th. We still feel very accomplished after yesterday. We did get a lot done. We were meeting, filming and still having fun. It was a lot for one day. Now we plan to rest for the next few days until Thursday. Today we could not meet because I had a massive math test to study for. It is weighted so much in the gradebook. So far I only have 220 points in the gradebook for my math class. This test is weighted 300 points. That is insane. This test will make or break my grade. I am studying insanely hard to be prepared(13). Also, Zane has football practice. He plays the tight end position at our school. I hear he is really good. I doubt the couch would be happy with him for missing practice. Because of this, we plan to film on Thursday. We will probably film at the Galleria mall. Until then, we'll rest and prepare to film.
