Creative Critical Reflection

 1. How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? My group's product challenges conventions by having a lower price. Most drinks are at least a few dollars but Arizona Iced Tea is known for being only 99 cents. The cheap price point that Arizona Iced Tea has allows poorer social groups to still enjoy the product. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text? Our product engages with audiences by being colorful, tropical and overall satisfying to all peoples' 5 senses; something that everyone enjoys. It would be distributed as a real media text through ads on platforms such as YouTube and other streaming apps. 3. How did your production skills develop throughout this project? My production skills developed through this project exponentially. I gained large quantities of knowledge on filming techniques and I also gained experience through editing the commercial. 4. How d

Our commercial is on Arizona Iced Tea. My group and I spent multiple days filming and editing to make the commercial with the highest quality possible. Using different tools such as a tripod, a pool raft, and a cooler we were able to create an enjoyable experience for our viewers. We hope you enjoyed our commercial. After viewing it, you need to go buy some Arizona Iced Tea!

Me and my group edited our commercial together. We worked together at school on October 14th, 2022. We began by transferring all the takes to Jason's phone. We then used an editing app to efficiently edit the commercial. We put all of the clips onto one project on the app. We put all the clips in order. After that, we went one by one looking through our shots deciding which ones were the best. After we decided on the best shots, we had our draft. By that time, our class period was over and we needed to find a new place to meet to finish editing. We agreed to meet at my house on Sunday, October 16th. When my friends arrived at my house, we knew what we needed to do already. We sat together at my dinner table and began working on Jason's phone once again. We started by adding transitions between changing scenes. Then, we added the non-diegetic sound to the parts of the commercial that needed it. We also added words to the closing scene to finish the commercial. We added some effe

My group's filming of our commercial was very successful. We began by meeting at my house. This decision was made because my backyard fits the requirements of the commercial as it is decently large and has a pool. My backyard also has good lighting that is necessary for the commercial. We began by getting all of our props organized and set up. The pool float was placed in the pool and the cooler was filled to the brim with ice. Then, we placed Arizona Iced Tea cans in the cooler of ice allowing them to cool down. This also helped later to form an aesthetic shot. The actors also put on their bathing suits and other costumes to prepare for the commercial. These were most of what we did to prepare. Then, we began filming. Jhon, one of the actors, lied flat on the pool float looking up towards the sky. We captured a Bird's Eye View Angle for this shot. Our introductory shot exhibited very hot weather through a Close Up of a radio playing with the pool in the background(14). We then

Our group was not able to meet up yesterday on our day off for Yom Kippur. Myself and Jhon had work we had to go to. My shift was also extended so there was no possible way for all of us to meet up. Jhon had a regular shift but his shift was from 1 to 7 p.m. This was way too long, so by the time we would meet up, it would be sundown which wouldn't work out. Conditions needed for our commercial are as follows. It needs to be sunny; either partly cloudy or a clear bright sky. We are not able to record at sundown because we need a bright lit up sky. Sam is Jewish so he was celebrating Yom Kippur. This meant he was not able to meet up with us. Jason was available to film. However, because the rest of us were busy. there was no way to film alone. We gathered all our supplies such as the Arizona ice teas, ice, cooler, sunglasses, swim trunks, tripods, and cameras. We are ready to record our commercial but cannot do so until we are all available to meet up. We will be recording at my hou

My group is doing an Arizona Ice Tea commercial. Arizonas are know for their aesthetic wrapping and cheap prices. Therefore a lot of Arizona commercials have a tropical theme to them. In Arizona commercials they always make sure the audience see the big “Arizona” word on the bottles to let the audience know it’s an Arizona advertisement. The commercials usually include logos as a way to market their product by constantly showing the “99¢” on the bottle showing the audience that one can is less than a dollar. In a lot of these commercials the actors are wearing tropical button downs, swimming shorts, sunglasses, pool floats around their arms, etc. They do this to give off those bright tropical colors and themes. Props that are often used are, ice, Arizona tea, sunglasses, swim trunks, pool floats, etc. The music that are used in most commercials are tropical like beats or songs that make the audience feel relaxed and chilled. The price of Arizonas are a big deal. Arizona’s main slogan

My group is doing an Arizona Ice Tea commercial. The setting of the commercial will be a backyard and a pool. For a pool we will be wearing our swim trunks and sunglasses. The props used will need to be pool appropriate so we will be using ice, a cooler, Arizona ice teas, pool floaties, etc. The commercial will include one of us laying on a tanning bed with sunglasses on a shiny day. And another would be on a pool floaty enjoying the sun. than the one on the tanning bed will say "man its scorching hot out". Than the next clip will be someone grabbing inside the cooler full of Arizona ice teas and ice and throw it over to the person laying on the tanning bed. The catch will be aesthetically pleasing to the hum an eye and will fall into frame perfectly. There will be a crisp crack and a beautiful sip. And than his eyes will expand in an animation affect. He will than say "wow, this is truly refreshing". And there will be a zoom out and some tropical music with the slo
